CBC National Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs
Since the competition began 100,000 singers from over
2000 choirs have taken part and performed for millions
of CBC Radio choral listeners.
Open to all amateur choirs, the CBC Choral Competition
is free and is hoped will encourage participation in singing
across all age groups, cultures and local communnities.
There is even a "Barbershop Choruses" Category!

Dates 2008
Entries and tapes must arrive at one of the CBC/Radio-Canada
Regional Offices no later than midnight February 11th, 2008

in the year for information on next year's competition!
Category 10
The repertoire in this category should cover as wide a
range of style and mood as possible, while reflecting
the special qualities of this Special Category.
FOUR (4) individual works including:
- ONE (1) original
work or arrangement by a Canadian composer.
- THREE
(3) additional works containing a variety of styles
and musical character.
