Sing-cerely Yours Associates /ScotianAires Halifax NS Lead Janet Pilon Tenor Judy Robichaud Bari Cathy Hunter Bass Carolyn Marshall Contact This quartet consists of Janet Pilon - lead, Judy Robichaud - tenor, Carolyn Marshall - bass, and Cathy Hunter - baritone. Janet has competed in a chorus as a lead, in a quartet as tenor, and wanted to challenge herself to singing lead in a quartet for contest. She went about searching for the other three parts. Judy and Carolyn came to mind as tenor and bass as Janet sang with these ladies two years ago in a quartet called Seas the Moment. Now to find a baritone. A few talented ladies came to mind and then the search led to Cathy Hunter who currently sings with the ScotianAires Ladies Chorus in Dartmouth. Although Cathy is new to barbershop singing, she has past experience singing as a soloist and in choirs, and has competed in music festivals. The four ladies met on January 18, 2006 to get to know each other, sing a few songs to see if there was a blend, and to discuss goals. There was a blend and we were all up for the task and challenges that lay ahead. It has been quite the journey with some rather tight work demands/deadlines, health issues, picking suitable music, picking a name (that seem to take longer than picking music), and of course the biggest and most important decision of all …. “what are we going to wear?”. We have enjoyed the journey with the laughs and giggles, ringing a chord or two, and the fellowship that barbershop provides.
