Muriel:
Tenor of Classi-Gal Music has been a member of
Harmony for approximately 28 years. Born and raised in
Kincardine, NB, migrated around the Province and has been
a permanent resident of Douglas, just outside of Fredericton,
for the past 29 years. Growing up she sang in church and
school choirs, sang solo at weddings and concerts. Joined
the Echoes and started singing Lead and switched to Tenor
quite early on. Muriel is married to Gerry Sanford, retired
RCMP Staff Sargeant, has two married daughters and four
beautiful grandchildren. Enjoys life and stays actively
young and motivated working as a Legal Assistant, walking,
singing barbershop music, spending time with family and
friends, reading and shopping!
Deborah:
Lead of Classi-Gal Music has been a member of
Harmony for approximately 10 years. Raised in NFLD, migrated
to NB by attending Atlantic Baptist University in Moncton,
NB - met her husband, Kevin who was also a member of the
RCMP, they traveled across Canada and retired in Hartland,
NB and now live in Fredericton. She and Kevin raised 4
children, and became grandparents shortly after this year‘s
(09) AC&C. Deborah joined the Elm City Echoes and
drove from Hartland to Fredericton and return each Monday
night for 6 or 7 years. She loves barbershop singing and
barbershop bling and will travel any distance to participate
in this great hobby. What a dedicated member she is!!
Dawna:
Bass of Classi-Gal Music has been a member of Harmony
for approximately 15 years. Born and raised in Fredericton,
is married to Wayne and they have raised three children
and have six wonderful grandchildren, all boys! Dawna
joined the Echoes and immediately is was apparent that
she could sing lead, baritone, bass or tenor if necessary.
Bass has been her forte while singing with Classi-Gal
Music. Dawna worked for York Steel in their office for
many years, retired and spent time with her grandchildren
then took up part-time work in a jewelry store. She loves
her cottage at Maquapit Lake and spends most of the summer
there with her family and friends.
Christine:
Baritone of Classi-Gal Music has been
a member of Harmony for 27 - 28 years and has been the
Director of the Elm City Echoes for the past 25 years.
Chris was born in Sussex, NB and traveled around the country
with her Mum and her Dad, who was also a member of the
RCMP (maybe we have something going here). She spent her
high school years in Fredericton, NB where she met Brian,
the love of her life. They have two great girls, Karen
and Vickie who have both done very well in their chosen
careers Chris is very musically talented, she teaches
piano and theory to adults and children throughout the
school year. She is the area representative and supervisor
for the Royal Conservatory Music examinations, sings in
her church choir and has directed the hand-bell choir
at her church. We are so fortunate to have her as our
baritone, and it was her “very favorite” part
until she decided to try the bass line and now sings bass
with The Meadow Larks quartet. We know she can sing Lead
and Tenor as well so watch out for her in the future!
Chris takes a much deserved summer retreat to her cottage
on the North Shore resting up for the busy year ahead.
