Information on "Java Jive"
Ladies,
Here is the link to Finale Notepad2007.
It is a free download and the box is in the center of
the screen. Very easy to download and self directed.
Download Notepad first. (You may have
to reboot your computer after loading)
http://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/
Once you have done that, click
here to download the .MUS file: JavaJive.MUS.
Your browser might open a file that appears to be jibberish.
Save that file as JavaJive.MUS. Your browser will ask
if you want to append .txt. Choose "DO NOT APPEND ".
Save the file to your desktop.
OR your browser might
tell you that JaveJive.MUS is a binary file and ask
you if you want to save it - say "YES". Save
the file to your desktop.
Now click on the JaveJive.MUS file on your desktop
and it should open for you in Finale Notebook. You can
play the song from the score by hitting the "Play" button
on the playback controls. Very easy to use and if you
run into troubles.. just read the help file.
Here is the printed music: JavaJive.pdf
Feel free to print off as many as you need. Don Gray
gave me full approval for us to use and enjoy!
If you could drop me a note and let me know if your
quartet is planning on learning it and participating
in the chorus, it would be appreciated.
Cheers!
