Information Update
April 1 2008
HI everyone…
Well, as much as I
hate to do this, I have not met my deadline of having
the accommodations up and running with the University.
Last Tuesday everything was suppose to be in place,
but the link to the web site wouldn’t work…fixed
that and on Wednesday discovered that our plan to have
every chapter register into a “block” of
rooms was not yet built into the registration form! So…Thursday
they were suppose to fix that but the box office manager took the
day off! So…now they promise me for Monday! We’ll
see…so no more promises from me!
Having said all this, please don’t worry. Each chapter has indicated
to me how many rooms they will be in need of and the University has
that information and will be asking you what Chapter you belong to
when you register so that you are all together.
Unfortunately, we
cannot all be in one building but we will all have access
to both building so we can travel back and forth easily. Chase
Court is one
of the buildings and has only single rooms and Seminary (where
our educational classes will also be), has mostly single
rooms and only a couple of double rooms.
We were not
able to convince them to provide us with much flexibility
in the meal plan. They will provide you with a meal
card at registration that will cover Thursday
supper, Friday (all three meals), Saturday Breakfast
and Supper and Sunday Breakfast. Hope all this works ok for everyone.
Cost:
3 nights (single)
$56 for a total of $189.84 (with HST included)
(Double $84/night
total $284.76 or $142.38 per person)
Meal Card: $70.45 total.
Total cost for single room +
Meal Plan $260.29 (ouch!)
Hopefully this will help with budgeting and planning…
We are
looking forward to your visits and it seems that the closer we get
the faster the days go!!!

- Have you sent in you contest Entry form and a cheque for
$50 (US)?
- Have you collected all the information and finances for
your AEPs?
- Have you checked out the “Barbershop Boutique” yet?
- Have you given some thought to your fun night performance..I
can hardly wait for this!! I understand the judges really look
forward to this event as well!
- The class schedule is almost ready and there will be educational
classes on Thursday afternoon….so,,don’t forget to
book the day off work so you can get here early enough to enjoy
the day!

- Have you designated someone from all 4 parts in your chorus
to sing in the Area 1 chorus?
- Do you have a quartet in your chapter? Do you have associate
members in your area…please be sure and forward these message
on to them or send me their contact information so I can get them
on our mailing list!
