Keltic Chords

Welcome to the Keltic Chords Ladies Barbershop Chorus of New Glasgow,
Nova Scotia. We are a member of Harmony, Inc.
If you are searching for an out of the ordinary, extra curricular
activity, then we have what youre looking for! The only requirement
to join our group is your love of music and a desire to have fun,
along with an ability to sing and carry a tune, of course! What
we offer is an opportunity to improve your knowledge of singing
technique and a chance to sing in acappella harmony; a chance not
afforded in most singing groups. In addition to that you will experience
the fun of making new friends and acquaintances.
Four part barbershop singing is unique and once you experience
it you will fall; hook, line and sinker to the sweet melodic
sound! So come on and join us each Thursday night from
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Acadia Street School in New Glasgow,
Nova Scotia. If you would like to just come for a visit,
give one of us a call or email us and we would gladly bring
you along.
The Keltic Chords perform throughout the year at various events
within a large community, including variety shows, nursing homes,
local community fund raisers such as the Pictou County Christmas
Fund, the We Care Society and we have even performed at weddings!
The grand finale for our singing year is our attendance at the area
competition and convention in early June where we get to perform
competitively and have a wonderful time meeting and listening to
all the other choruses from the Atlantic Provinces. This convention
is generally held in a different province each year and hosted by
a chorus in that area.
Thank you for visiting our web site and we hope to see you at one
of our rehearsals or at one of our performances.
